Consumer
Bought faulty good or been scammed? What are your rights?
What we do
We can offer basic advice and information on many consumer related issues. This can include providing you with information and advice if you have had a problem after buying goods and services. This can include faulty goods or complaining about poor services. We will refer you to more specialist services if needed.
What we don’t do

How to get help
Discrimination
Have you been treated unfairly due to your age, sex, race, disability or another reason?
What we do
We can offer basic advice and information on issues where you feel you may have been discriminated against. We can talk to you about your experience and help to identify whether unlawful discrimination has happened. We will usually need to refer you to a more specialist service if you need to pursue further action.
What we don’t do

Domestic Violence and Abuse
If you feel scared of your partner it is likely that you are experiencing domestic violence and abuse. It is very common, 1 in 4 women will experience it in their lives and men can be victims too.
What we do
Domestic violence and abuse is the misuse of emotional, physical, financial or sexual control by one person over another. We can offer basic advice and information if you have been the victim of domestic violence. This can include providing you with information and advice if you have experienced violence. We will refer you to more specialist services if needed.
What we don’t do
We cannot advise perpetrators of domestic violence or abuse.

How to get help
Community Care
Do you need to get or challenge a community care assessment? Do you feel you have to fight for your right to live independently?
What we do
We can offer basic advice and information on many community care related issues. This can include providing you with information and advice if you have had a problem getting a community care assessment or if you feel your assessment does not reflect your needs or that of your care. You may also have experienced problems with personal budgets and direct payments. We will refer you to more specialist services if needed.
