Volunteer roles

Volunteer with St Pauls Advice Centre

Our current volunteer roles are listed below. We will regularly update this page so do keep checking back for new roles.

1. Trustee role

Could you be a Trustee for St Pauls Advice Centre?

  • Do you feel a strong connection to your local community and understand the needs of local people?
  • Would you like to help shape an organisation that has supported local people for over 50 years, and ensure it continues to serve the local community in the best possible way?

If your answer to these questions is ‘yes’ then this could be the role for you!

St Pauls Advice Centre is looking for people who represent the communities we serve to become Trustees, especially those with lived experience of social inequality or living in our catchment area (BS2, BS5, Fishponds, or Montpelier).

Becoming a Trustee is a voluntary role, with benefits for you, your CV, and your community.

To find out more, see our Information Pack for Prospective Trustees.

If you would like an informal conversation, or have any questions on the application process, please email our Director (Rob) on rob@stpaulsadvice.org.uk or call 0117 955 2981 and ask to speak to him.

If you’re ready to apply, fill out the application form here.

2. Staff support volunteer roles

St Pauls Advice Centre hugely values the work and dedication of volunteers. The volunteer team greatly increases our capacity for supporting the local community in navigating debt issues, the benefits system, and immigration concerns.

If you’re interested in volunteering with us, email jay@stpaulsadvice.org.uk or call 0117 955 2981 to express your interest. We’ll let you know our current volunteer vacancies. Our two main volunteer roles are Reception Support and Welfare Benefits Support, though other volunteer roles are sometimes available.

Here are the two main role descriptions to give an idea of what volunteering involves:

We look forward to meeting you.
