Volunteer Coordinator (0.5 FTE)

Are you an experienced Volunteer Manager looking for a new and satisfying role?

We are looking for someone dynamic, organised and with great people skills to join our well-established, ambitious community advice centre as Volunteer Coordinator and Energy Outreach Worker.

Your role will include the coordination and development of our Advocato volunteer programme where you will offer guidance and support to a small group of volunteers helping vulnerable clients’ complete forms and attend assessments.

You will have proven experience working with volunteers and outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with all manner of people. You will have had experience at delivering advice to a wide range of clients and be familiar with benefit entitlements as well as showing empathy and understanding of the issues faced by our clients. You will also able to show us that you have excellent problem solving, organisational and team working skills.

Contract terms:
> Working hours: 17.5 hours per week

> Fixed Term Contract until 30th April 2025

We offer a generous benefits package:
> Salary: £14,634.50 actual (£29,269 full time equivalent)

> Annual Leave: 30 days per year (pro rata)

> Extra 3 days annual leave between Christmas & New Year (office closure)

> Qualifying Workplace Pension Scheme: 5% employers contribution
