Debt Outreach Worker (0.8 FTE)

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent customer service and communication skills to join St Pauls Advice Centre as a Debt Outreach Worker.  Speaking a community language is an desirable criteria for this post.

Volunteer with St Pauls Advice Centre

St Pauls Advice Centre hugely values the work and dedication of volunteers. The volunteer team greatly increases our capacity for supporting the local community in navigating debt issues, the benefits system, and immigration concerns.

We are looking for volunteers who are empathetic and able to build trust with clients who may find it difficult to disclose their needs, or who feel overwhelmed and daunted by their circumstances. Having experience of debt, benefits, or immigration, either personally or in supporting others, is a great asset when volunteering with us. St Pauls Advice Centre works with people from all walks of life, promoting equality and challenging discrimination.

  • Welfare Benefits Support Volunteer. As part of the application, please read this document. Please pick 2-3 example situations that demonstrate that you meet the majority of the “Qualities and skills required for the role” list. The examples can be from your professional, personal, or volunteering experience. You will be asked about these on page 2 of the application form.

St Pauls Advice Centre Trustee

Our Trustee Volunteers offer their professional skills or life experiences to support the strategic development of the organisation. They help us to provide an important service to people who are often financially deprived and struggling to cope.  We need people from all walks of life – an especially from our diverse local communities – to help shape and guide the centre as it advises and supports our local communities.

This is a voluntary position.
